Psalm 34:8 Taste and see. Taste is to perceive and to understand.
I was invited to be the guest artist at Emmanuel Fellowship. It was right before Thanksgiving and I knew that they would be singing “Taste and See”. I asked the Lord, “How do I do that? How do I taste and see?” He reminded me about the Passover Feast.
In each of the steps of that feast, the Jews would taste and remember (see and understand) the bondage. They would also reflect on and be thankful for the freedom He had brought them into. They would be reminded that “The Lord is good”.
As Jesus shared the last meal, the Passover, with His disciples, I wonder if each bite was a bitter foretaste of what lay just ahead for Him. I wonder if He was thankful in the sweet knowledge that, “The Lord is good” and that He was once again bringing His beloved creation out of bondage.
Taste and see, the lord is GOOD!!!
